Testimonials
I've just started a scarf from the kit I received for my
birthday. It's going together easily and looking great so far. It's so soft, I
can't wait to finish and see how it feels to wear. Penny Bonner, Gravenhurst, Ontario
I have used fur yarn to trim several pieces and I love it!
It adds elegance to my projects that can't be found anywhere
else. Denise Wilson, Knitter, Michigan
Amazing! I would have never thought that fur could be used
like this... I trimmed the collar and cuffs of a sweater and I just love how it
looks and feels. The video tutorials were very helpful. Amy C. Crafter, Portland Oregon
I'm in love with Paula Lishman's real fur yarns! I've just
completed knitting a beaver hat with fox trim and I am most pleased with the
results. Thank you for such a unique Canadian product. Marian Hester http://freshislefibers.typepad.com/
In the late 1980's, a friend asked me to accompany her to a
fashion show held by a somewhat 'unknown' designer, by the name of Paula
Lishman, held in Whitby, Ontario. Once seated, and reading the
brochure, I was amazed at the logical thought behind the project. The
comment by Paula stating "why do women where their fur coats inside out?' made
so much sense to me... a recent immigrant to this country and finding the cold
really, well, cold! I didn't buy anything at the show, but chose to
visit her studio in Blackstock, ON, where I purchased the most exquisite
Beaver/Mink coat. Paula kindly added a matching draw-string hat and mink
headband. This coat has survived 18 winters, three children, countless
hockey games and yes, has even doubled as an extra comforter on those terribly
cold rural winters! No matter how you utilize this amazing yarn, you
can rest assured it's durability is second to none. Every year, I visit
the Paula Lishman booth at the Toronto Needlework Show with great
anticipation. There is always a new, innovative project that leaves me
gobsmacked!! It's always great to sit and talk with Paula, and attend her
lectures. Oh, and what isn't mentioned often, but I found out last year...
if your dog does happen to chew on your hat..... you can send it to her and she
will do her best to repair it!! It's a credit to yourself
and your staff that you are still around after all these years. There is
no better advertisement for your product than longetivity!! See you at the
Needlework Show in October 2006! Maxine Mountney,
Oshawa, ON.
